Currently we are seeking a 2nd Shift Line Supervisor for our plant in Denmark, Wisconisn Salm Partners, LLC, located in Denmark, WI, is the largest co-manufacturer of smoked sausage and hot dog products in the United States. We lead the way in technology for producing sausage product, making us one out of five companies in the US that use the co-extrusion process. Some of the Essential duties & responsibilities include the following:
Supervisory Responsibilities Directly supervises the Team Leader, Rapid Pack Operators, Palletizers, Relief, Vat Washers, and Production Line Workers assigned to the shift. Must possess highly effective interpersonal communication skills, with strong verbal and written communication skills. Education and/or Experience A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is normally required; a Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Business, Supervisory Management or related field is preferred. Prior supervisory or leadership experience and previous work experience in a USDA-regulated ready-to-eat processed food manufacturing environment is strongly preferred. Must possess basic computer proficiency with Word, Excel, and Outlook. Previous experience with MAS500 or related integrated ERP manufacturing software systems is strongly preferred. Able to speak, read, and write fluently in both Spanish and English is preferred. Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the Partner is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles and caustic chemicals. There is a wide variation of temperatures ranging from 35° F to 100° F in the various production work areas. The work environment is wet and slippery most times. The noise level in the production work environment is usually loud. Partners are required to wear frocks, hairnets, slip-resistant footwear and hearing protection at all times on the production floor.
